Zhang Yong is the chairman of Sichuan hot pot chain Haidilao, a restaurant, His wife Shu Ping is a co-founder and director. He is the richest man in Singapore in 2020 according to Forbes.

Zhang Yong, never finished high and he did not even know how to prepare the Sichuan hotpot, three of his friends amongst which one became his wife helped him, and now Haidailo is known for its spicy dishes and attentive customer service, including free manicures for waiting customers.
