Auma Obama Biography

Auma Obama was born on January 1, 1960, in Nairobi, Kenya to parents, Barack Obama Sr and his first wife, Kezia Aoko Obama. She is also the older half-sister of former US President, Barack Obama.

As per her educational background, Auma got a scholarship to complete her university education in Germany after she went through her basic and high school education. She studied German at Heidelberg University from 1981 until 1987.

Auma Obama later enrolled at the University of Bayreuth where she graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1996. She also studied at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin.

Auma is presently serving as the executive chairwoman of the Kenyan-based NGO, Sauti Kuu Foundation and is also a member of the World Future Council.
