Lydia Jazmine was born to Kasugi William and Nakanwangi Scolastica in 1991 in Masaka, a city in the Buganda region of Uganda.
Upon the divorce of her parents in 1995, Jazmine was compelled to stay with her aunt where she finished her elementary education at Victoria Nile School before her transfer to Saint Mary’s School Namaliga.
Jazmine finally graduated from Multitech Business School in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management.

Jazmine sang as a backup vocalist in a musical band called Gertnum upon graduating from the university.
She began enjoying her music career when the music group Radio and Weasel signed her as a backup singer.
