Dareh Ardashes Gregorian was born on the 24th of March 1970, in Austin, Texas, the USA to parents, Clare Russell and Vartan Gregorian. He is the youngest of his parents’ three sons.

Dareh Ardashes Gregorian has two older brothers namely; Vahé and Raffi. His father is an Armenian-American academic and the former president of the Carnegie Corporation.

Dareh’s father was also the former president of the New York Public Library as well as Brown University. His mother, on the other hand, was the chairperson of Literary Partners adult education school.
