Why Is There No More Big Brother Africa?

Big Brother Africa has stopped airing since 2014 after a successful nine seasons of the show in Africa.

Big Brother Africa started airing on May 25, 2003, as the African version of the international reality television franchise Big Brother and broadcast to audiences in 42 African countries.

The reality show went on break for four good years and returned in 2007. The organizers took pride and pain in televising the next editions consecutively until 2014.

The organizers of Big Brother Africa announced on September 3 2014 that the reality show was put off due to devastating blase at its purpose-built studios in Johannesburg, cash constraints, and lack of sponsorship. A total of 14 contestants were supposed to have participated in the reality show which was to air for 91 days.

Meanwhile, there were also reported that contestants from Ghana face visa problems and were replaced with Ghanaians already living in South Africa.

The participation of countries like Rwanda and Siera Leone had to be cancelled for the first time.
