Nigerian lawyer, Tope Akinyode who had earlier filed a lawsuit challenging the criminal complaint administered by former Presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba against CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has given an update on the case.
According to Akinyode who was present in court, Garba and his legal team failed to show up for hearing at the Federal High Court today, November 25, 2020 without giving reasons for their absence.

Recall that the former presidential aspirant had sued the Twitter founder in regard to his support for the EndSARS protests in Nigeria which rather turned violent at a point in time.
Garba filed a fundamental human rights suit before a Federal High Court in Abuja while demanding that the Twitter CEO compensate the federal government with a $1bn compensation.

However, the politician was nowhere to be found when it was time for the hearing of the case. In light of this, the case has been adjourned to 22nd April 2021.
