Jensen Huang is a Taiwanese-American billionaire businessman and electrical engineer, known as the co-founder, president, and CEO of Nvidia Corporation.


Born on February 17, 1963, in Tainan, Taiwan, Huang moved to the United States with his family at the age of nine, initially residing in Kentucky before settling in Oregon.

He attended Aloha High School in Oregon and graduated at the young age of 16.

Huang earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University in 1984 and later completed his master’s degree in electrical engineering at Stanford University in 1992.

Following his master’s degree, Huang held positions as a director at LSI Logic Corporation and a microprocessor designer at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

In 1993, at the age of 30, he co-founded Nvidia alongside Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem.

Over the past three decades, Huang has led Nvidia as CEO and president, propelling the company to the forefront of graphics processing units (GPUs), APIs, and system on a chip (SoC) technologies.

Nvidia’s advancements have significantly impacted gaming, data centers, and autonomous vehicles, positioning the company as the 3rd largest globally by market capitalization as of March 2024.

Jensen Huang is married to Lori Huang, whom he met while studying engineering at Oregon State University, and they have two children together.

With an estimated net worth of $91.1 billion as of May 2024, Huang ranks as the 17th richest person worldwide. He holds a 3.6% stake in Nvidia, which went public in 1999.

Huang’s contributions to the tech industry and philanthropy have earned him numerous accolades, including significant donations of $50 million to Oregon State University and $30 million to Stanford University in 2022.
