Former Australian Cricketer, Andrew Symonds died following a car accident in Queensland. This was confirmed by reports from the media.
According to the police, the accident occurred in Hervey Range, 50 km from Townsville on Saturday night. The car Symonds was driving veered off the road and rolled. This was described by the police as a single-vehicle accident.

Symonds death happened at a time where Australian cricket is still coming to terms with the passing of all-time greats, Rod Marsh and Shane Warne, who both died in March.
The Queensland Police operative has begun investigations into the crash and the circumstances that led to the accident.
The police in a statement also said, “Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and sole occupant, however, he died of his injuries”.
