Asake Addresses Fans’ Calls to Perform His Songs in English

Afrobeat star Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has addressed fans who have been asking him to perform more of his songs in English.

This comes after the release of his eagerly awaited third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” which features collaborations with major artists like Wizkid, Stormzy, and Travis Scott.

Some listeners expressed difficulty in connecting with his music because most of the lyrics are in Yoruba. In response, Asake recently shared his thoughts during an Instagram Live session.

He mentioned that while he is capable of singing in English, he feels more natural performing in Yoruba. Asake emphasized that fans who support him should embrace his Yoruba lyrics as an integral part of his artistry.
