BBC broadcast journalist Ciru Muriuki is in mourning following the death of her father. Through posts on her social media accounts on Saturday, Ciru described him as a loving father who was also her anchor.
“What life can never prepare you for…is to lose a beloved parent. My most honored, most cherished father has rested. I have grappled with the unimaginable pain of losing my anchor, my best friend,the best man I have ever known.
“Words are not enough to express the immensity of this loss. But in all things, we praise the name of the Lord. Dad, I will love you forever. The rest of my life will be spent longing to see you again,” she wrote. Netizens condoled with her asking God to grant her and her family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Just recently, Ciru had shared a photo of her father during Fathers’ Day describing him as the best man she knew.
Elsewhere, Legendary Tanzanian musician Lucas Mkenda, popularly known as Mr Nice is also in mourning following the death of his stepmother. The singer revealed that his stepmother died on August 12 but did not expound on the cause of death.
“I have lost my stepmother this morning…I give thanks in everything. May you rest well Mama Malasway,” he wrote. Fans and friends camped in the comment section with condolences messages.
