Rodel Pacheco Nacianceno, known professionally as Coco Martin, is a Filipino actor, director, and film producer.

Though he has featured in several movies, Coco Martin is best known for playing the lead roles in Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, Walang Hanggan, Ikaw Lamang, Juan dela Cruz, and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyan.
Martin was given the tag; “King of Philippine Television” due to the several Philippine series he starred in. The actor, as of 2020, holds a total of 109 awards and recognitions and 35 nominations from various award-giving bodies since 2006.

Coco Martin was born on November 1, 1981, in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines. He became a street kid after his parents divorced. He then moved in with his grandmother with whom he grew up. He managed to go through school and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the National College of Business and Arts in Fairview Quezon City. Martin was also an Overseas Filipino Worker working as a janitor in Alberta, Canada.
He began his career as part of “Star Magic”, and made his film debut in 2001 in the movie, Luv Text. He then worked primarily in commercials for the next several years.
In 2005, his on-camera career took off and he began to work steadily. Since then, he has appeared in several movies such as “Masahista“, “Kaleldo“, “Batanes“, “Mga Kuwento Ni Lola Basyang: Ang Walong Bulag“, “Ligaw na Bulaklak“, “Daybreak“, “Kinatay“, “Nagsimula sa Puso“, ” Summer Heat“, “100 Days to Heaven“, “Growing Up“, “My Little Juan“, “Noy“, “Captive“, “24/7 In Love“, and “A Moment in Time“.
