“I and my Phoenix Nights castmates used to sing the Minder theme tune on tour and at Karaoke!” Paddy wrote on Twitter. I’m sorry I never got to meet him; I’ve always wanted to be Terry McCann. Another childhood icon has passed. Dennis Waterman, rest in peace.”
“I played golf on a tour to Bermuda with Dennis Waterman – I’m not much of a golfer – he was – but the time spent with him between rounds was well worth the trip,” Nick tweeted. “A genuine gentleman. RIP.”
