Derek Carr is an American football quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National football league. He is also popularly known as the brother of NFL quarterback and current NFL Network analyst David Carr. Derek Carr was born on 9 March 1991 in Fresno, California, in the USA.

Derek Carr was the youngest child among three children to Rodger Carr and Sheryl Carr. In 2002 Derek Carr attended high school at Clement High School in Sugar Land Texas where he was part of the football team. As a sophomore, he became a backup quarterback on the varsity team. Derek Carr’s passion for football enabled him to work hard and was placed in the first team.
He led his team to an undefeated 13-0 season before losing in the quarter-finals of the 2017 Class 5 A Division 2 State Playoffs in Region 3 to the Katy High School Tigers, the champions.
