Derek Wolfe, a former NFL defensive lineman and Super Bowl champion, hunted down and killed a massive mountain lion in Colorado.
Derek Wolfe, who spent eight seasons with the Broncos said on Instagram that he was enlisted to hunt the beast after it was “wreaking havoc” around the Rocky Mountains and killing local dogs and deer.
Given Wolfe’s height of 6-foot-5, this mountain lion could easily have been seven feet long. The majority of the people who commented on Wolfe’s post were impressed by the hunting feat. “Big ole boy,” said former UFC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

Chad Kelly, Wolfe’s former Broncos teammate, chimed in “Shessssh” T.J. Ward, a former NFL safety, added, “Need my winter coat,” with a laughing emoji.
Not everyone was happy with Wolfe, who is currently a sports talk radio host at 104.3 the Fan in Denver.
One commenter wrote, “Or did a neighbourhood wreak havoc on the lion’s habitat and it’s now just trying to survive.”
According to a Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson, Wolfe killed the beast legally and by all applicable laws.
