The alleged circumstances surrounding the death of Memphis rapper, comedian, and social media personality Derrion “DMuney” Childs is a puzzle still left unsolved.
Memphis rapper Young Dolph, real name Adolph Robert Thornton Jr, 36, was gunned to death on November 17 at Makeda’s Cookies, Tennesee, while DMuney was murdered nearly a week later after making snide comments about Young Dolph’s murder.
Young Dolph was gunned down after a car pulled up and the assailants fired through the store’s front window.
DMuney later dissed the late rapper in a Facebook post.
A further reaction to the news of Dolph’s death in later posts was: “I love Memphis cuh we so gangsta.”
Memphis Police Department announced on Twitter that they responded to a shooting in November 2021, where they located three victims, one reported “critical but did not survive his injury”.
It was confirmed by the police department on Friday, November 26 that the deceased male was Derrion Childs, 21 who reportedly died on November 23, exactly a week after the shootout that claimed Young Dolph’s life.
