There have been a shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, on November 19, 2022, leaving many injured and five dead in the process.

According to the Police, two firearms and a long rifle was used during the deadly operation and there happened to be only one attacker.
The suspect, a 22-year-old, named Anderson Lee Aldrich, has been arrested, the Colorado Spring Police Department, Adrian Vasquez, has confirmed.
Aldrich who was caught wearing a body armour, commenced the shooting at about 11.55pm, but was confronted and overpowered by two security men.

SOS calls kept coming and about 40 police officers were deployed in response to the emergency.
“We must drive out the inequities that contribute to violence against the LGBTQ community”, President Joe Biden has said in a statement issued, following the incidence.
“While no motive in this attack is yet clear, we know that the [LGBTQ] community has been subjected to horrific hate violence in recent years,” Biden added.
The injured victims are currently receiving treatment at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central.
