Driven by ambition, Flavour took a bold step. “I knew everything I needed was within me,” he said, describing how he boarded a night bus to Lagos, the heart of Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Wasting no time, he recorded his first song the very next day. Recognizing the potential of the track, he reached out to Nigerian rapper Mr. Raw, pleading for a feature. Mr. Raw agreed, and after laying down his verse, Flavour returned to Enugu with the completed song.

Back in Enugu, Flavour’s music began to resonate with listeners. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and he seized the opportunity by printing multiple copies of the CDs and selling them to anyone he could find.

This pragmatic grassroots approach not only helped him build a local fanbase but also heralded the beginning of his rise to stardom.
