‘I have always been a tremendous humanist and maintained that once a man is wounded, he is no longer an enemy but a patient,’ Gennadiy Druzenko, 49, said in an interview with Ukrainian television.

But now I’ve issued severe orders to castrate all [caught Russian] men because they’re insects, not people.’

However, he then stressed that no order to castrate prisoners had been issued and that his hospital saves lives, period.’ ‘We are going to kill,’ he said on Facebook afterwards. ‘Brutal b*****ds who violate my land, not prisoners.’

Druzenko’s mobile hospital has employed approximately 500 doctors, both male and female, since 2014. He founded the First Voluntary Mobile Hospital, which deploys civilian doctors and nurses in the fighting zone near the separatist republics in eastern Ukraine. He is a lawyer by training.
