In 2018, Guy Gaudreau suffered a cardiac arrest which prompted his son, Johnny, to take a leave of absence.

Guy currently oversees the 8U Development program at the Pennsauken Skate Zone.

He has been coach to more than 100 different youth hockey players, all who later found themselves in the NCAA Division.

Guy Gaudreau is a native of Vermont and is a Vermont State Sports Hall of Famer.

During his days, he played soccer and hockey while at North Country Union High School and later at Norwich University.

Johnny Gaudreau is the son of Guy Gaudreau. He was born on August 13, 1993.

Johnny plays as a ice hockey winger and as a free agent.

He played college ice hockey while at Boston College.

In 2011, he was drafted by the Flames as 104th overall, in the fourth round of the NHL Entry Draft.

Johnny won the Hobey Baker Award as the best player in the NCAA, in 2014.

He also won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 2017.
