Robert Durst, a New York real estate heir who was recently imprisoned in a two-decade-old murder case, has been hospitalized after acquiring COVID-19, according to his lawyer.
Robert Durst was taken to the hospital after testing positive for the coronavirus, according to defense attorney Dick DeGuerin. DeGuerin stated that he was unaware of Durst’s health and was attempting to learn more.
Robert Durst, 78, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release on Thursday, October 14, 2021, for the murder of his closest friend more than two decades ago.
Durst, who suffers from a variety of physical conditions, sat in a wheelchair with a catatonic gaze throughout most of the sentencing hearing.
Robert Durst was convicted of first-degree murder in Los Angeles Superior Court last month for shooting Susan Berman in the back of the head at her home in December 2000.
Has Robert Durst Taken COVID-19 Vaccine?
Durst’s lawyer said he believes Durst has been vaccinated against COVID-19, but he couldn’t say if he had gotten any booster doses.
