Denim Bradshaw died after he was flung by a bull at a rodeo on January 28, 2023. He had suffered a cardiac arrest as a result.

Denim, 14, was a middle school student at Walkertown Middle School, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County.

He had been riding a bull at a rodeo, for the first time when he met his death.

Denim had died at the hospital, after he was whisked away from the rodeo venue by emergency officials.

The rodeo took place at “American Legion Post 290 on South Main Street in King”, where it has been held for many years.

“This is a tragic event and words cannot describe the pain felt by this loss,” Rafter K. Rodeo Company said in a statement.

Emergency personnels had responded swiftly in conveying Denim to the hospital where he eventually died.

For Stokes County Director of Emergency Services, Brandon Gentry, the cause of Denim’s health emergency is still uncertain.

Denim is survived by his mother, Shannon Bowman, his sister, Persephone Bowman, and other family members.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Denim’s funeral expenses.
