Snoop Dogg is a famous American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, media personality, and entrepreneur.

Snoop Dogg whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., was born on October 20, 1971, in Long Beach, California to Vernall Varnado and Beverly Broadus Tate. His father was a Vietnam veteran, singer, and mail carrier. Snoop was the second of his mother’s three sons.

Snoop Dogg rose to prominence after he began working with Dr Dre on Dre’s debut solo album, ‘The Chronic’. His fame heightened later in 1993 after he released his debut album ‘Doggystyle’ which became quite a success.

Snoop Dogg has gone ahead to solidify his spot in the entertainment industry by becoming one of the best-known figures in gangsta rap in the 1990s as well as the epitome of West Coast hip-hop culture.

Snoop Dogg is presently married to his high school girlfriend, Shante Taylor with whom he has three children including Cordé (born August 21, 1994) and Cordell (born February 21, 1997) and daughter Cori (born June 22, 1999).
