Adriel Jeremiah Green was born on July 31, 1988, in Summerville, South Carolina, the United States as the son of Woodrow and Dora Green.
AJ Green’s father, Woodrow was a steelworker and truck driver while Dora, a clerk at a Wal-Mart. He attended Summerville High School in Summerville, South Carolina, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track.
AJ Green committed to attend the University of Georgia by signing a letter of intent to play at Georgia on February 6, 2008. There he played college football for coach Mark Richt’s Georgia Bulldogs football team from 2008 to 2010.
