AJ Green is an American football wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League.

Adriel Jeremiah Green was born on July 31, 1988, in Summerville, South Carolina, the United States as the son of Woodrow and Dora Green.

AJ Green’s father, Woodrow was a steelworker and truck driver while Dora, a clerk at a Wal-Mart. He attended Summerville High School in Summerville, South Carolina, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track.

AJ Green committed to attend the University of Georgia by signing a letter of intent to play at Georgia on February 6, 2008. There he played college football for coach Mark Richt’s Georgia Bulldogs football team from 2008 to 2010.

AJ Green was selected in the first round with the fourth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He became the highest-drafted wide receiver in Georgia school history.

AJ Green spent ten seasons at the Cincinnati Bengals prior to joining the Arizona Cardinals.
