Kathleen Kennedy is an American film producer who has been president of Lucasfilm since 2012 and is best known for her first film as a producer, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

Kathleen Kennedy was born on June 5, 1953, in Berkeley, California, United States of America. Kathleen Kennedy is 71 years old as of 2024. Kennedy graduated from Shasta High School in 1971 and went on to study telecommunications and film at San Diego State University.

While still in school, she started working at a local San Diego TV station, KCST, where she gained experience in various roles, including camera operator and video editor.

Kennedy began her career in the entertainment industry in 1981 when she co-founded Amblin Entertainment with Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall, who would later become her husband. Her first major role as a producer was for the iconic film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial in 1982.

In 2012, after The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm, Kennedy was appointed as the president of the company. Under her leadership, Lucasfilm has produced a wide array of successful projects.

Kathleen Kennedy oversaw the Star Wars sequel trilogy, which ran from 2015 to 2019, as well as standalone films like Rogue One (2016) and Solo (2018).
