French actress Stéphane Audran, is the first wife of late Jean Trintignant, but their marriage ended in a divorce.

Audra later married director and screenwriter, Claude Chebrol and together they had a son, Thomas, who is also a movie producer.

Audran is well known for starring in the movies The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972) and Babette’s Feast (1987), The Big Red One (1980) and Violette Nozière (1978).

Audran lost her dad when she was young.

Her breakthrough came with her appearance in Chabrol’s film Les Cousins (1959).

She then went on to starr in Les Bonnes Femmes (1960), La Femme Infidèle (1968), Les Biches (1968), Le Boucher (1970), Juste Avant La Nuit (1971), and Violette Nozière (1978).

She had won several awards during her lifetime such as the Silver Bear award at the Berlin International Film Festival, a French César Award, and a British Film Academy award.

Audran passed away on March 27, 2018, after falling ill for sometime. Her son Thomas found her dead at home just days after she had been discharged from the hospital.
