Joe Biden Drops Out of 2024 Elections

United States President Joe Biden has announced his decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential elections. In a statement issued on Sunday, July 21, Biden explained that while he had intended to seek reelection, he believes it is in the best interest of both his party and the country for him to step down and focus on fulfilling his presidential duties for the remainder of his term.

“While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” Biden stated.

The President indicated that he would address the nation later in the week to provide more details about his decision. He expressed deep gratitude to those who had worked tirelessly to support his potential reelection campaign and extended special thanks to Vice President Kamala Harris for her partnership.

“Let me express my heartfelt appreciation to the American people for the faith and trust you have placed in me. I believe today what I always have: that there is nothing America can’t do when we do it together. We just have to remember we are the United States of America,” Biden added.
