John Adam Belushi was an American comedian, actor, and musician who died in Los Angeles, California, United States.

On March 5, 1982, John Belushi was found dead after being injected with heroin and cocaine at Chanteau Marmont, a shadowy hotel that looms over West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip.

Born on January 24, 1949, Belushi attended the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. He was married to Judith Belushi.

All through his life, Belushi struggled with heavy drug abuse, a habit that threatened his comedy career.

It was alleged that one Cathy Smith had injected the comedian with the combined drugs known as a speedball.

He was posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2004.
