U.S. Marshals have confirmed that Kaitlin Marie Armstrong, the Austin woman suspected of murdering young cycling prodigy Moriah Wilson in May, has been arrested.

The Marshals reported that Armstrong was at a hostel on Santa Teresa Beach in the Costa Rican province of Puntarenas.

Armstrong was found and taken into custody on June 29 thanks to the collaboration between the Marshals’ Office of International Operations, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Department of State Diplomatic Security Service.

How did Kaitlin Armstrong get to Costa Rica?

Authorities now claim that she entered Costa Rica using a fake passport before being discovered hiding out in a hostel.

According to the marshals service, Armstrong will be deported and returned to the United States.

According to Susan Pamerleau, the U.S. marshal for the Western District of Texas, the investigation’s early elevation to “major case level” helped with her capture.
