English actress, screenwriter cum director, Kay Mellor, was worth an average of $6 million at the time of her death.
Mellor was notable for the crafting of TV shows Fat Friends (2000–05), and Children’s Ward (1989–2000).
Mellor wrote for the soap opera, Coronation Street when she worked with Granada Television in the 1980s, and from there went ahead to write several episodes for the Channel 4 soap, Brookside.
Her children’s drama “Children’s Ward”, won the Best Children’s Drama atvthe 1997 BAFTA Awards.

Mellor died on May 25, 2022. She was aged 71. Her cause of death is still unknown.
