Disturbed and scared hip-hop and R&B fans reportedly rushed to the exits during Saturday night’s (14th May, 2022) Lovers and Friends festival which took place in Las Vegas after there were reports of gunshots being fired.
Footage posted online showed thousands of people trying to exit the venue as they walked through the streets in an attempt to get to somewhere safer.
Security personnel were then forced to pause the concerts as Metropolitan police went ahead to investigate the incident.
After investigations, The Metropolitan Police found that reports of gunfire at the festival grounds were ‘unfounded.’
The concert then resumed, with Usher taking the stage.

Some of those who went to the festival took to Twitter in the aftermath of the ‘security incident’ to share how scared they were for their lives as the other fans became violent as they made a beeline for the exit.
Kia Felicia tweeted that she was one of the people who ‘almost got trampled’ at the music festival ‘and I’m upset they continued the show and showed no concern for those who got hurt.’
