María Antonieta de las Nieves was born on December 22, 1950, in Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit. Born to Estanislao Gómez Ocampo and Delfilia Rodríguez Ocampo, she is the youngest of seven children. Not much is known about her education.
María Antonieta de las Nieves began as a voice-over actor at Televisa and was later offered a job on a new show; El Chavo del Ocho. The show became a huge hit across Latin America, in Spain and the United States. She provided the Spanish voices for characters in movies such as The Addams Family, The Munsters, Batman, and Fantastic Four as a voice actress. Her first telenovela was Estafa de Amor (1961), starring Carmen Montejo and Amparo Rivelles.
