McBrown Opens Up About Her Father: “We’re Good Now Despite a Distant Past”

Actress Nana Ama McBrown has shared insights into her relationship with her father during a recent episode of Onua Showtime on Onua TV.

Reflecting on her past, McBrown revealed that she did not have a relationship with her father while growing up, but has since come to terms with their connection.

“Growing up, I didn’t have a relationship with my dad. But now I’ve realised that no matter what, he is still my dad,” McBrown stated.

She emphasized that her mother never introduced anyone else as her father, underscoring the importance of accepting him as such.

McBrown also mentioned that her father lives in Akyem Asuom, where he is well-known and even more popular than the chief. “My father is very much alive. If you go to Akyem Asuom and ask about him, everyone will show you. He is even more popular than the chief,” she said.

Despite their strained past, McBrown continues to advise her father to take good care of himself, noting that people might use him to get to her or influence him in negative ways.

The actress encouraged others with difficult relationships with their fathers to make amends and accept them.

“Let’s accept our fathers, regardless of who they are. If you have the power to transform their lives, do it. If you don’t, just pray for them,” McBrown advised.

McBrown recently celebrated her 47th birthday at the Onua Showtime studios, with her biological mother and other patrons in attendance.
