Meet Kevin Arrested

Popular American Youtuber, Landlord, and Real Estate broker Kevin Paffrath best known as Meet Kevin has been arrested in Florida on DUI charges.

Meet Kevin was in Florida for most of the month of May so it’s within the same month that the alleged crime was committed.

However, news of his arrest came to light around 9th to 11th July.

It’s not the first time Meet Kevin has had legal issues.

Meet Kevin vs Dave Ramsey

In 2018, Meet Kevin was sued by Ramsey Solutions, a media company owned by finance personality Dave Ramsey.

Ramsey alleged breach of contract, stealing trade secrets, and defamatory statements.

Meet Kevin had posted videos critical of Ramsey and his business practices.

One video was entitled “Dave Ramsey: Exposed” where Meet Kevin claimed Ramsey’s business provided “cold-as-ice leads” for real estate sales and collected a fee for “doing nothing”.

Meet Kevin further stated that he had ended his relationship with Ramsey Solutions before making the videos, and therefore believed he did not violate a contract.

Meet Kevin also claimed the lawsuit was an attempt at censorship which violated his right to free speech.

The case moved to federal court in 2019, and was settled privately out of court later that year. Meet Kevin’s videos mentioned in the lawsuit are no longer on YouTube.

Meet Kevin vs Grant Cardone

Meet Kevin also made numerous YouTube videos criticizing the business model of real estate personality Grant Cardone.

In an effort to bring more attention to his other videos, in 2018 Meet Kevin delivered flowers to Cardone’s office staff while dressed as a Christmas elf, reportedly running through Cardone’s offices.

Meet Kevin was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct, but the charges were later dismissed.

During a May 2021 interview with KTXL discussing his gubernatorial candidacy, Meet Kevin expressed regret for the “YouTube prank” and said he had gotten “carried away with the entertainment aspect of YouTube.”
