Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr famed Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942, in Kentucky America. He was named after his father who was called  Cassius Marcellus Clay Sr. His mother was also  Odessa O’Grady Clay. Ali had another bother whose name is not known.

Muhammad Ali attended Central High School in Louisville his dyslexic condition forced him to lose interest in school. Ali was so furious that his bicycle was stolen at age 12, he dared a police officer called Joe Martin that he was going to beat up the thief if caught. The police officer then advised him to learn how to box first, and the rest became history.

Muhammad Ali won his first gold medal at age 18 in the light heavyweight division at the 1960 Summer Olympics.
