Nana Ama McBrown is a Ghanaian actress and TV personality who is currently the host popular TV program United Showbiz on UTV Ghana and the brand ambassador of Hisense Ghana.

She became famous for her role in the television series Tentacles which came after her first movie titled ‘That Day’.
At birth, she was named Felicity Ama Agyemang. She was born on August 15, 1973, in Kumasi, Ghana to her mother, Cecilia Agyenim Boateng, and her father Kwabena Nkrumah.

She attended Kwadaso L.A. J.S.S, where she ended up as a dropout and could not sit for the Basic Education Certificate Exams.
Though a dropout, Nana Ama attended College of Business where she obtained a secretarial certificate.
Her change of name was a result of the inability of her mother to care for the family after being divorced leading to being adopted together with her six siblings by Kofi McBrown.
