Naomi Judd was an American country music singer and actress.

Naomi Judd was born Diana Ellen Judd to Pauline Ruth ‘Polly’ ( 1927–2019) and Charles Glen Judd (1924–1984) on January 11, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky.

Naomi Judd is best known for forming the highly successful singing duo known as the Judds with her daughter Wynonna Judd.

As country music’s most famous mother–daughter team, The Judds scored twenty top-10 hits (including fifteen at number one) and went undefeated for eight consecutive years at all three major country music awards shows.

In addition, the duo won five Grammy Awards and a vast array of other awards and honors.

As a songwriter, Naomi Judd also won a Grammy for country song of the year with the Judds’ hit “Love Can Build a Bridge.”

Wynonna Judd  is one of the most widely recognized and awarded female country singers. In all, she has had 19 No. 1 singles including those of the Judds making her one of the best-selling country artists of all time.

Naomi Judd also had another daughter, Ashley Judd.

Ashley Judd is an American actress and political activist.

Ashley Judd grew up in a family of performing artists: she is the daughter of country music singer Naomi Judd and the half-sister of country music singer Wynonna Judd.

Sadly,  Naomi Judd passed away on 30th April 2022 at the age of 76.
