German athlete Malaika Mihambo took silver with a jump of 6.98 meters, while Team USA’s Jasmine Moore earned the bronze with a jump of 6.96 meters. Moore also won bronze in the triple jump at these Olympics.

Despite dealing with a bone bruise in her heel, Davis-Woodhall delivered an outstanding performance.

Reflecting on her previous experience, she noted that her Tokyo appearance was unexpected, saying, “I was a college kid out there just jumping for fun.”

Now, with her gold medal win, Davis-Woodhall adds another prestigious title to her impressive career.
