The 31 Patriot Front members have been nabbed by the Idaho Police, at a hotel parking lot in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Reports had reached the police that a group of people were spotted in a U-Haul like gathering.
The group has been charged with conspiracy to riot. it members include the group’s founder, Thomas Ryan Rousseau of Grapevine, Texas.
The 23-year-old founded the group following the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally which took place in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Also arrested alongside the gang leader is Mitchell F. Wagner, 24, of Florissant, Missouri, who was earlier charged with defacing a mural of famous Black Americans.
Evidences reveal that the group was planning to incite a riot downtown.
“Riot gears, one smoke grenade, shin guards and shields were found inside their van”, the police said. “They wore masks, arm patches and logos on their hats that identified them as members of Patriot Front”, the police added.
One of the members had worn a shirt with a bold inscription “Reclaim America” on the back.
The arrested members are reportedly from 11 different states, including Washington, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Colorado, South Dakota, Illinois, Wyoming, Virginia, and Arkansas, with only one from Idaho.
