The prosecutors, who plan to present new evidence indicating that Alec Baldwin was negligent with a firearm on set even before the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, allege that Baldwin recklessly pointed and fired a blank round at a crew member, using the crew member as a line of sight, during an earlier filming incident.
Prosecutors assert they have evidence that Alec Baldwin used the gun as a pointer while directing crew members. They also claim he fired the revolver after filming had concluded and “cut” was called. Additionally, it is alleged that he filmed several scenes with his finger on the trigger, even when the scene did not require gunfire.

The prosecution also stated they have evidence indicating that Alec Baldwin would hurry the armorer to reload and pressure crew members to work faster. They claimed he was inattentive during firearm training sessions conducted by armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, often texting or FaceTiming his family instead of paying attention.
He is also accused of engaging in horseplay with the gun and exhibiting erratic and aggressive behavior on set.
Following the tragic shooting of Halyna, when “Rust” resumed filming and relocated to Montana, prosecutors allege that Alec was adamant about not adhering to safety recommendations.
