Mavin Records Signee, Rema, has surpassed Tiwa Savage to become the 10th most streamed artiste of all-time on Spotify. With Burna Boy and Wizkid occupying the first two positions, Rema is nowhere close to them, but at least, he is part of the top ten.
According to sources reaching abtc.ng, Wizkid has 3.5 billion total streams; which includes to 5.8 million monthly listeners, Burna Boy has 1.9 billion total streams, with 9.3 million monthly listeners, Mr. Eazi has 1.1 billion total streams, with 5 million monthly listeners, and Davido has 665 million total streams with 3 million monthly listeners.
Tiwa Savage on the other hand has only 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify while Rema has 2.9 million monthly listeners. However, Tiwa Savage’s ‘Celia’ album became the most streamed album by an African female artiste after its release.
Rema, just a few years in the music industry has done incredible things with his talent. About a year ago when the global pandemic hit heavily, Canadian Rapper, Drake took to his Instagram live to announce his collaboration with him (Rema), while playing a snippet of the track.
