The Gallego family eventually settled in Evergreen Park, Illinois, where Rubén attended Evergreen Park Community High School.

Determined to pursue higher education, Gallego embarked on a transformative journey to Harvard University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in international relations.

Immersed in an environment of academic excellence and cultural diversity, he thrived as a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, forging lifelong friendships and expanding his horizons.

Gallego’s time at Harvard instilled in him a deep sense of purpose and a commitment to public service, setting the stage for his remarkable career in politics.
