Sammy Gyamfi hails from Wiafe in the Bono Region of Ghana, and has attended his second cycle institution at the St. James Seminary Secondary School, and later went to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) where he obtained his first degree.
Sammy Gyamfi also went to the Ghana Law school of which he graduated with distinction. He was the then SRC president of his year group at the Ghana Law School. Sammy Gyamfi was called to the bar on 5th October, 2018.
Sammy Gyamfi was part of the National Democratic Congress ever since he went to the university. Due to his passionate service to the National Democratic Congress, he won the heart of the TEIN-KNUST and was elected as the president in the year 2011/2012.
