Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has tapped into his inner Hilda Baci to commemorate this year’s Father’s Day.

Annually celebrated, International Father’s Day is dedicated to recognizing fathers and fatherhood, along with the paternal connections and impact they have in society.

To mark this year’s occasion, Sanwo-Olu posted on his X account Sunday evening, sharing photos of himself showcasing his culinary skills in the kitchen.

Donning an apron labeled “Head Chef” over a sharp white native attire, the Governor appears in one of the photos, seen sprinkling seasonings into what appears to be a pot of soup.

In another frame, he was captured sampling his culinary creation.

In the caption accompanying the photos, Sanwo-Olu remarked that being called to kitchen duties is sometimes part of the responsibilities of fatherhood.

The Governor pointed out that fatherhood requires sacrifice, patience, and dedication to the family, qualities he strives to instill in his service to the people of the state.

In his post on X, Sanwo-Olu wrote “Fatherhood for me is about responsibility, love, and sometimes, a call to kitchen duties. It demands sacrifice, patience, and dedication to being the best we can be for our families.

“As a father and leader, I strive to nurture and provide in every role, ensuring my home thrives. The same dedication I bring to my family, I bring to serving Lagos.

“The love and principles we uphold in our families guide me daily as your governor.

“Together, we build a stronger, more caring community.
