Senator Natasha Distributes Rams to Constituents in Preparation for Sallah Celebration

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP-Kogi) distributed rams to her constituents on Saturday in preparation for the Eid-el Kabir celebration.


The event, starting on Sunday, saw the lawmaker, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District, giving out rams at the central mosques in each of the five local government areas of the district.

During the distribution, Akpoti-Uduaghan urged the Muslim community to use the Eid-el Kabir occasion to promote love, tolerance, and pray for lasting peace in Nigeria.

She extended warm greetings to all Muslims, highlighting that Eid-el Kabir commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, symbolizing faith, obedience, and selflessness.

She called on everyone to celebrate in the spirit of unity, compassion, and gratitude, embracing principles of peace, love, and service to humanity. She wished everyone a joyous and harmonious Eid-el Kabir.

Many beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the senator’s gesture. Ibrahim Adeiza, a civil servant, was overwhelmed with gratitude, stating he didn’t know how to thank the lawmaker for providing rams during these tough economic times.

Hajiya Nafisa Abubakar, a housewife, emphasized that the senator’s generosity showed her compassion, noting the high cost of rams in the market and expressing pride in Akpoti-Uduaghan’s actions during challenging times in Nigeria.
