One of the audio streaming and media services provider, Spotify, has been launched in Ghana, West Africa after many years of excluding it from its market.
Spotify announced the expansion of their market to over eighty new markets or countries which included African countries like Ghana, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Angola and Kenya. The audio streaming platform has begun operating in Ghana.
The platform started two hours and forty minutes which includes 50 songs to make their first +233 bars playlist. The cover photo of the playlists is no other person than the African rap superstar, Sarkodie, the two times BET wards winner. This is the first time Spotify is operating in Ghana and artistes now have the opportunity to have more streams.
Spotify is a Swedish audio streaming and media services provider, launched in October 2008. The platform is owned by Spotify AB, a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange since 2018 through its holding company Spotify Technology S.A. based in Luxembourg.
