Vanessa Murdock is an American meteorologist and television personality famed for being part of New York City’s CBS 2 Weather team.

Vanessa Murdock was born in 1978 in Long Island. Vanessa Murdock spent a large part of her childhood growing up in the town, Center Moriches.
After matriculating from a local high school, Vanessa Murdock enrolled at the University of Rochester, New York, graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology.
In 2003, Vanessa Murdock enrolled at the Penn State University and obtained a Master of Science Degree in Meteorology in 2005, after which she joined the National Weather Association (NWA) as well as the American Metrological Society (AMS).
After graduating from the Penn State University, Vanessa Murdock moved to Charlottesville, Virginia and joined Grey Television where for one and a half years, she served as as an evening weather anchor for WCAV-WVAW-WAHU.

Vanessa Murdock then relocated to Norfolk, Virginia, she she began to appear as the anchor for FOX News Network’s Mid-Atlantic coastline.
In November 2006, Vanessa Murdock joined the ABC’s Viper Weather team and in June 2007, she joined CBS’ News Channel 3, serving as its morning meteorologist.
In August 2011, Vanessa Murdock’s coverage of the Hurricane Irene shot her into the limelight, after which she joined CBS 2 Weather Team in New York City as its broadcast meteorologist where she is still serving.
Vanessa Murdock’s excellent broadcasting skills has earned her a nomination for the Emmy Award.
