What Happened To Ademola Okulaja?

Ademola Okulaja has been dealing with cancer on and off since 2008. He died on Tuesday, May 17 at age 46. His cause of death has not been reported yet. The Carolina Basketball team tweeted the news of his death.

It is still unknown the circumstances that led to his death but his family is yet to release an official communique to that effect.

Some of Ademola’s former UNC teammates posted Tuesday following the news of his death. Eight-time NBA All-Star, Vince Carter played with Okulaja from 1995 to 98 before being selected No.5 in the 98 NBA draft by the Raptors.

Ademola Okulaja was a German professional basketball player of Nigerian origin. The last team he played for were the Brose Baskets from Bamberg. After his playing career, he became an agent of an NBA player, Dennis Schroder.
