What happened to Tyus Jones?
In the 2021–22 NBA season, Jones set a new mark with a 7.04 assist-to-turnover ratio. With Morant out of the lineup, the 2021–22 Grizzlies finished 20–5 in regular season games; Jones started 23 of those 25 contests. Jones renewed his contract with the Grizzlies on July 6, 2022, for two years and $30 million.

Tyus Jones spent four seasons playing for his hometown team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, before committing to the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2019 offseason. During his freshman year, he participated in the 2014–15 National Championship team’s college basketball campaign for the Duke Blue Devils.
According to Rivals.com, Scout.com, and ESPN, he was one of the top 10 high school athletes in the nation in 2014. He won the Class 4A state championship in the Minnesota State High School League and was named three times Minnesota’s top male basketball player by the Associated Press and Gatorade, all while playing for Apple Valley High School.
