Kathleen Kennedy is an American film producer who has been president of Lucasfilm since 2012 and is best known for her first film as a producer, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

Kathleen Kennedy began her career in the entertainment industry in 1981 when she co-founded Amblin Entertainment with Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall, who would later become her husband. Her first major role as a producer was for the iconic film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial in 1982.
A decade later, she collaborated with Spielberg again to produce the Jurassic Park franchise, which became one of the top-grossing series of the 1990s. In 1992, Kennedy and Marshall launched The Kennedy/Marshall Company, further solidifying their influence in the film industry.

In 2012, after The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm, Kennedy was appointed as the president of the company. Under her leadership, Lucasfilm has produced a wide array of successful projects.
Kathleen Kennedy oversaw the Star Wars sequel trilogy, which ran from 2015 to 2019, as well as standalone films like Rogue One (2016) and Solo (2018).
Kathleen Kennedy also managed the production of the fifth Indiana Jones film, The Dial of Destiny (2023). Beyond films, she has produced several Star Wars series for Disney+, including The Mandalorian (2019–present), The Book of Boba Fett (2021), and upcoming series like The Acolyte (2024).
Throughout her career, Kennedy has produced numerous Spielberg-directed films that have collectively earned over $11 billion worldwide. Among these are five of the fifty highest-grossing films in history. Her work has earned her eight Academy Award nominations for Best Picture.
