Jalen Marquis Brunson (Jalen Brunson) is an American professional basketball player.

Brunson currently plies his trade with the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association.

Brunson attended and played college basketball for Villanova University, where he was the National Player of the Year as a junior and won two national championships.

Brunson began his college career as the 2015–16 Big East Conference Preseason Freshman of the Year and was a Big East All-Freshman Team selection following the season.

As a starter, Brunson helped the 2015–16 Wildcats win the championship game of the 2016 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament.

As a sophomore, Brunson was a unanimous 2016–17 All-Big East first team selection for the 2016–17 Wildcats.

Brunson was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks on June 21, 2018, with the 33rd overall pick.

Brunson was the fourth and final Villanova player to be selected in the 2018 NBA draft.

However, Brunson did not sign until after he completed his 2018 NBA Summer League play and was accorded a 4-year contract similar to a first round selection with 3-years guaranteed.

Brusnon made his NBA debut on October 17, 2018, recording 3 points, 1 rebound and assist, in a 100–121 loss against the Phoenix Suns.
